OT - Grassroots Effort to make NCAA Ice Hockey A Reality at Rutgers

Without a donor, unlikely to happen. No feasible facility up to B1G standards. Football already has them in enough of a financial hole, they'd need the $ to come from elsewhere.

They seem to be sneakily claiming they played the first hockey game between two colleges, when the usually accepted first year and first teams are Yale and Johns Hopkins in 1896...

With the Devils, solid club teams, and after catching a local high school game with 1,200 fans, I think hockey would do well at Rutgers. That's aid, their athletic department is a financial mess with needs in just about every sport, especially basketball. With a lot of money internally focused on Rutgers merger with UMDNJ, I just don't see the university adding any new sport program until the financial situation is addressed.
