Sloane is massively struggling, as she has since the Australian Open. Her offense is completely off so she seems completely lost out there, fluctuating between just pushing the ball or pulling the trigger way too early.

It is not that I don't like tennis it is more I have found nothing interesting in it lately. I check in to see if there is the promise of any possibilities of what is interesting. So far no.

Did they announce yet if Fernandez is going to dump Sloane for Venus in the reverse singles? Not a bad thought given Sloane's meltdown in the 3rd set.

Serena is on now. I doubt the substitution, Eric, for if Venus were feeling fit enough for singles, she would have been so scheduled originally

Eric, it seems you are right, if the I heard the recent announcement correctly
(with my ears you never know), Venus will replace Sloane. I wonder if that means Serena will take over the doubles.

Interesting. Sloane is ranked #16 in the world so I wonder why the crisis of confidence. She has a great all court game. It would make sense to play Venus in singles and Serena in doubles if they wanted to do that, but Venus is the better doubles player...

Well, Venus got through in 2 sets, but she made it really hard on herself
with multiple double faults in her last 2 games while trying to close it up.

Still, it's good to see her win a singles match when she can. Her fans are on
borrowed time.
