The weird thing about his name is that it's Nigerian but when they translated it from the Greek alphabet, they spelled it with Greek dipthongs. There is no B sound in the Greek alphabet. You make the B sound by putting the MP together. Essentially, his name should be spelled Antetokombo. Like Mutombo. It's equally perplexing because his first name is pronounced Yiannis like the singer Yani. G is a conversion of Y because Greek Yiannis are usually called "Johnny" or John by English speakers.

if the draft was redone him and MCW would be the top 2 picks, he's also apparently grown about 2" since the draft. Danny Ainge reportedly scouted him alot over in Greece prior to draft, as a C's fan I'm still blown they didn't select him and instead went with Olynyk. They would be one step ahead in their rebuilding process with him in the fold.

Amazing also that he only has 4 fingers on that hand.
