I'm going to the game next week. Just looking for suggestions on places to eat around the Verizon Center. Not a picky eater so all options are on the table.

Btw, if you're staying in town, I see that Stanley Jordan has a string of shows at Blues Alley, a legendary music joint in Georgetown.

Blues Alley - InstantSeats

If you're not familiar with Jordan, he's a world class jazz guitarist:

The Dubliner is a good Irish pub. Pretty standard pub fare for food but cool spot, great whiskeys if that's your thing.

It's a noon a game so either way it's time for happy hour after lol

So where do we meet for happy hour after the game. Fado was suggested.
We could reserve a table there. Any other thoughts?

I'm fine with Fado or wherever we can get a everyone to come.

Matchbox on H Street is pretty good. It's a laid back medium priced place that has very good food for the prices. Good pre game grub.

I second both Clyde's - which is actually in Georgetown - and Dubliner which is a brisk walk to The Mall, Capitol and Union Station. Clyde's is casual but more upscale (solid wine list if into that). At Dubliner you drink and eat which you may need a lot of the former. However if things break right later today you must get the Hamm sandwich at Dubliner
