So, with no world cup today, with no Venus on the W schedule, with no DVD to hurry up and watch and get back in the mail, with no bridge nor table tennis for me, Your Testmeister returns to you, so long as you avoid politics, do no research and don't hit "reply".

1..Ich bin ein jelly-filled donut.

2..Location of Elvis' last concert?

3..Width of an NFL field?

4..Gordon Lightfoot sings of really bad weather.

5..The original Route 66 connected which 2 cities?

6..Enceladus in the news, why?

7..ID: Elizabeth Virginia Wallace

8..Mike Tyson is disqualified, for what?

9..Which 3 Carl Perkins songs did the Beatles cover and release?

10..What is the rite of passage known as Rumspringa

11..What is the focus of Essence Magazine?

12.."It's a new dawn. It's a new day. It's a new life for me."

1. Berliner Pfannkuchen

3. 53 1/3

4. The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald

5. Chicago and Los Angeles

6. On Enceladus supposedly scientists have discovered complex organic molecules required to support microbial life. Big whoopee! Astronomers and astrophysicists are always saying such things and then – whoops – correcting themselves. Waste of my tax dollars. Go mine the moon, Mars, or the asteroid belt for rare minerals required to support our high tech economy.

8. Noshing on Evander Holyfield’s ear.

11. The African-American woman

12. “FeelingGood” sung by many but none better than Nina Simone. Although this 13 year old kid does a really good job. Yikes! Two correct music answers in a matter of weeks, not years. You know I’m … FEELING GOOD!

1..A proper translation of JFK's "Ice bin ein Berliner" since a "berliner" is actually a form of jelly filled donut. The proper way to say I am a Berliner is just "Ice bin Berliner"

5..Chicago and Santa Monica

6..Organics have been found in the materials being ejected from the planet, so it is now being considered a more likely place to search for life in our solar system.

8..Catching a mid-fight ear snack against Evander Holyfield

10..A transition from childhood to adulthood for Ahmish and Mennonite teens when they are provided an opportunity to break with normal rules and conventions and affords them an opportunity to decide if they want to stay in the faith or not.

12.."Feelin' Good"- performed by many people on the various talent shows, but I'm not sure who did it originally.

13..In the Mediterranean - off the cost of Spain. Includes Ibiza and Mallorca.

1..Except. Rocket, the suggested "real" meanings (including "hamburger" also) were made up by writers long after the fact. Berliners were OK with Kennedy's usage.

2..Where "It don't rain in the summertime," sang Roger.

3..SVC walked it off; then was escorted off.

4..Pinot's Quintet know disaster when they hear one.

5..Only Rocket has the Cal. location. Others are off by at least 3 minutes of arc.

6..While SVC brays at the moon, denigrating those who wish to understand space, Rocket delivers with no editorial.

7..It takes a hint, and even then SoCal is hesitant. I'm surprised.

8..The K9 Sextet with most poetic descriptions. Didn't Mike once say he didn't plan his fights, but like some pianists,
always played them by...

9..SVC & SoCal, cooperating on the put back.

10..Pinot watching too many Spring Break videos. Get the real picture from Rocket.

11..SVC & VAUC report black women empowerment.

12..SVC just orgasmic again; Rocket stays calm.

13..Yes, to islands of Spain.

Pictured below are actors who starred in their own western TV series for Warner Bros in the late 1950's. Can you name them and the name of the show?
This is an easy one. All of them except the man on the far left have passed away.

1. Far left looks like Will Hutchins, Sugarfoot (was not a fan)
2. 3rd from right is James Garner, Maverick
3. 3rd from left looks like Jack Kelly, Maverick (He had his own show?)
4. Far right is John Russell, Lawman
5. In the middle is Ty Hardin, ??????
6. 2nd from left ??????, Lawman
7. 2nd from right is ??????, ?????? (Familiar face but nothing)

I'll have to let the unconscious mind ruminate a bit.

The ones you named are correct. Right to left: John Russell (Lawman), Wayde Preston (Colt .45), James Garner (Maverick), Ty Hardin (Bronco), Jack Kelly (Maverick), Peter Brown (Lawman), Will Hutchens (Sugarfoot). You did pretty good. I thought that Will Hutchens would be the hardest of the group to recognize. Jack Kelly co/starred with Garner in that series.

You are correct. Yes, that's Patrick Wayne. The man on the right is Harry Carey Jr.

Why I know Ty Hardin and yet still can't remember Bronco at all is bothering. Peter Brown's face trigger Lawman but I have no memory of his name. Preston and Colt 45 is a total wiff even though his face seems familiar. Wow! This going back a long time. I may not have seem all of John Wayne's movies but I saw perhaps most of the westerns. The mesa in the background helped greatly.
