What can ECar do to worry us? I thought that was your answer, so do this.

Please do not hit "reply" nor do research.

1..In Europe our French and Indian War was called what?

2..What are the cetaceans?

3..One of the long ago Catholic Church "Fathers" produced a book(?) that NEVER went out of print.

4..What was the criticism of Beyonce' Superbowl show?

5..What is the flap about Florida's "Groveland Four"?

6..In 1862 a Mass. Gov started an activity that is still with us. What?

7..During the Civil War, Fort Donelson(state?) is won by what general?

8.."ARE YOU GOING AWAY WITH NO WORD OF FAREWELL
WILL THERE BE NOT A TRACE LEFT BEHIND?"

9.."Don't leave home without it."

10..Italy's Latern Treaty of 1929 did what?

11..Legal concept "mens rea".

12..Within 5 years when does the NAACP begin?

13..George Gerschwin's 1934 composition(?) stands the test of time.

4. It's apparent support for Black Lives Matter was criticicized by many as anti police.
5. A too familiar story of injustices inflicted upon falsely accused blacks or of accused blacks punished without a trial. The Groveland four were just posthumously exonerated for raping a white woman in the 1940's.
9. The American Express Card slogan
12. 1912
13. Porgy & Bess

1. Seven Years War
7. Ulysses Grant. Victory at Fort Donelson in Tennessee helped elevate him from an obscure officer to the famous general he became.

1. Seven Years War
3. Jerome's translation of the Bible??
7. Grant. I think it is in Tennessee. He captured Fort Henry and moved on to Donelson, where he captured most of the garrison. Also earned his nickname "Unconditional Surrender".
9. An American Express slogan, trumpeted by Karl Malden, IIRC.
10. I don't know, but I think I should. Maybe gave status to the Vatican State? The Bishop of Rome's cathedral church is St. John's Lateran, and the pope resided for many years in a building called the Lateran Palace. I recently listed to a great course on "The Popes and the Papacy", but not sure if that is where I heard it.

6..Mea culpa...I just caught an error; the date was 1812, not 1862, by Gov. Elbridge _____.

6. Aha! Gerrymandering. I thought of it before but knew that Gov. Gerry was long gone by 1862.
