If I were watching soccer, I'd have no chance to eke this out, but with non-continuous (Florida State vs. Houston) American football, a piece of cake.

Please do not hit "reply", nor do research.

2. The real Englebert composed operas, most notably Hansel and Gretel. The pseudo is a pop singer. If I recall correctly, the pseudo is not allowed to use the Englebert Humperdinck name in Germany; the Germans are very protective of the name of their composer.
10. Kim Novak and Rita Hayworth.
13. A ferrous metal contains iron; a non-ferrous metal doesn't.

6. The day after Christmas, where traditionally the wealthy landowners made up boxes of left over foods, discarded clothing, toys, and bits and bobs, and went out amongst the tenantry to distribute them. It was actually something that went on throughout the year on most estates as the landowners felt a responsibility to tend to the 'deserving poor' on their land and in their villages - before the state took over such responsibilities.

13. A metal not containing iron - it has more loosely been used to identify metals that are unaffected by magnetic fields, and ones that do not cause sparks when used as a hammer around explosive materials.

6. Farsi - persian language (iran), Pashto afghanistan (?) and Urdu hindu language of Pakistan/India

3. It was in the paper a few days ago, and I'm trying to recall what the article said. The U.S. is the biggest arms exporter and South Korea is the biggest arms purchaser - at least that's true if I recall the article correctly.

"Want a plane that loops the loop."

11..We need our WWII historians to relate the attitude of the State Dept.

9..You are also asked to complete the line.

1..Some would say the slightly less than 3oo members at the time were so opinionated that they wouldn't bother reading anyway.

5..Rhymes with a Caribbean nation much in the news lately.

1..Pinot has a hint make the connection to Library of Congress.

2..See rbny and VAUC==the fake guy was born Arnold Dorsey.

3..Rocket explains that we borrowed Silent Night from the Germans.

4..Rbny is correct about S. Korea.

5..Welcome Jimbo, and we now have Juba.

6..See UcM

7..VAUC is most valid here. I am pointing out also that Indian Muslims speak Hindi.

8..The Chinese in a month sing out, "Hey, hey, we're the..." Pinot & VAUC.

9..Pinot rightly guides the Rocket.

10..Rbny OK with Kim and Rita. Since it was before the sexperimental 60's, neither wanted a threesome with Frank.

11..The Republican candidates are adamant that they don't want Middle East refugees, offering the argument that Jihadists will sneak in.
During WW2 the State Dept. obstructed Jews from being rescued, with the similar argument that German spies and saboteurs would show up.

13..The non-ferrous ones have iron deficiency anemia. Between Rocket and VAUC we have 2 ways of explaining.
