A nit to pick

#9 Newfoundland entered the Canadian Confederation in 1949 as Newfoundland not Newfoundland and Labrador. The name was changed to Newfoundland and Labrador just recently.

Okay, you win - I just went there, and the locals like to respect often-forgotten Labrador so I like to give Labrador a shoutout when I can too. Incidently, the moose own Newfoundland. I liked the question, wirechief: given my recent trip + my handle!
