I'm happy the show is going away from the books this season, mostly because books 4 & 5 are quite boring with very little plot movement. It would not make for good TV. Plus it will be nice to enjoy the show for what it is in its own right.

I thought book 5 moved the plot along and while a little lengthy, was very entertaining. Book 4 was brutal to get through.
