It will always be the winner of the Mountain West versus AAC with the team with the best record or highest ranked getting the bid. App St could go undefeated and they won't register on the screen.
Wasn’t it Western Michigan like 3 years ago?It will always be the winner of the Mountain West versus AAC with the team with the best record or highest ranked getting the bid. App St could go undefeated and they won't register on the screen.
We should be rooting for independent Army. The resurgence of military academy football is a fantastic story.
Both Army and Navy found success with triple option offenses.
Paging Guapo! Both Army and Navy found success with triple option offenses. Which seems to work well with teams with undersized offensive linemen. But it seems that many fans here would rather lose than change to a triple option offense.
I’ll go with SMU. They have a good chance to play on New Years Day. They are 4-0 with former Texas QB Shane Buechele and a strong running game.
“HC Sonny Dykes gives a lot of the credit to offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee, a former Auburn and UConn OC whom he courted for the sake of fortifying the Mustangs ground game. That was Rhett’s strength,” Dykes said. “And what he was really good at was being able to figure out how to run the ball and be creative and teach it, do all the little different nuances that go on. So as we started putting the offense together, it made sense to kinda combine the two.”
On the first series at TCU, Lashlee called a double reverse play that included a pitch back to Buechele, who then threw a 46-yard strike to Kylen Granson. From that point forward it was game on.
Most folks riding with Boise despite games @BYU, @San Jose St (beat Ark), Wyoming (Beat MO), @Utah St, and MWC CG vs likely Fresno/SDSt
BYU game will get some hype, as it's a time-TBA game on ABC/ESPN/E2/EU.
