First league that sounds different and doable. Might be able to start the one and done or first high school player to skip college. I wonder if this might be part of the reason the Rent is getting an upgrade?

Do you just get online to be an ass?

I don’t know if it is related but I am sure that if this football league moves forward then it could have had some impact on them choosing CT as a location.

The Rent has got to do anything to make sure there is a revenue stream since our last three football staffs have been driving our fans away.

I don’t know..... 3 leagues. XFL, Alliance, and this? Wow. The XFL has the big cities and flash. The Alliance is a southern city only / weather based thing it seems.
The Connecticut site in the Freedom is TBD per the Courant article. And KTuck is right, Ricky loves his cheebah. Snacks at the games gonna be killa, boy.

Societal issues will be encouraged? Sorry, when I want to watch politics, I'm not going to watch a sporting event, when I watch a sporting event, I don't care what they think about X, Y or Z...

That's why Hollywood is not getting my $$. I don't care about their views...

Should stick to states for the team names.... Can get some rivalry on that alone, CT vs Mass, FL vs GA TX vs CA NC vs SC that sounds better then Hartford vs Albany. .

How do athletes forget to delete derogatory tweets? Sorry, but I have no hope in this league succeeding. My condolences for all that money burned.

Sorry, but I won't change my views.

Yes, that's how you're supposed to do it going through life, just refuse to change. Never adjust.

We won't be getting an XFL team, so far. Cities have been announced.

BINGO, enough said. This group would be better off dumping their money into a political action committee of sorts. Upon failure a sharp attorney in the bunch could possibly blame the government and sue to get some of their money back.
A little more info here for the other three people that may have interest.
Coalition of Fifty Former NFL Players Launch the Freedom Football League
#1...The league is designed to attract football players at their highest level of athletic ability, including those defecting from the NFL, graduating college or high school or playing in international or alternative professional football leagues.
Defecting NFL players playing against high school players? Sorry I have to.......Head bang

Spring / summer= fishing, boating, baseball, soccer, auto racing, car shows, vacations. Good material for Saturday Night Live though! The writing staff would have a ball with the political views of a dysfunctional football league from day one.
I wish all in life luck and I will eat the crow should they succeed. As an avid sports / football fan I just don't see it. Not gathering my tailgate group for a Freedom FL game even if it was offered for free....I get enough political news on the front page, don't need it on the sports page also....

Some of us are actually capable of doing both things at the same time.

I could not agree with you more. As I don't take your reply as a personal attack mine is of the same nature.
The casinos and state lotteries enjoy those willing to double down on a bad bet. While I have a strong interest in both politics and sports, and able to be supportive in both, I have absolutely no reason or desire to combine the two.
I hope your perceived superior intellect on the topic and that of the founders of the league create a wonderful situation for the teams and the legions of fans to follow. I simply have no interest in such a farfetched concept.
I'm still a hard core UConn football season ticket holder and that's hard enough to explain! ;)

Put me in the camp not having much faith in a brain storm session led by Ricky Williams and TO.
