who else is going? I’m pumped—gonna be a great show
If the "Food Court" offerings are close to what they served up in PA last year it will be great
Homer: Hi there, been a while since I've been in Good Vibrations Music. Where can I find the latest releases by Bread?'
Clerk: 'Oldies.'
Homer: 'Oldies? But you got all the top bands in here. Styx! I just heard them on the King Biscuit Flower Hour.
Except for DMB, I'd prefer each of the headliners to Paul Simon (and enjoyed them more when I ve seen them), and I have no doubt that there's a lot of talent on hand.
I'll probably watch the stream while caring for my sister's dogs overnight.
I'm getting the feeling Paul Simon stole your prom date.
Nah, that was Tony Lacey making a play for Annie Hall.
It just happens to be that I've liked Mellencamp since "Lonesome Jubilee," Nelson since "Red Headed Stranger," and Young since before his first solo album (meaning Deja Vu & various Buffalo Springfield). And I've seen and liked all three in the past few years at Infinity Hall, Simsbury Meadows, and Webster Bank Arena...and I like a lot of so-called alt-country.
Good friends loved Simon at MSG last night. And I remain happy that you so enjoyed the Pittsburgh show.
I remember seeing BB King at red Rocks and he had gotten to the point where he could no longer carry a show. Lot's of charter, lot's of solos by the band(He was still BB, just much older).
I had tickets for the next night with Willie Nelson and Billy Bob Thornton(who was very uninteresting), thinking is Willie gonna still have it? He killed it!!! 2 1/2 hours of non stop music. Gotta love him playing lead on a mauled acoustic nylon string guitar.
In 1984(?), I saw Frank Sinatra at the biggest casino in the then very sketchily developed Atlantic City. Beyond the most obvious of his classics nearly every song was some kind of sappy, clichéd pop tune that I couldn't stand. Every one of them would typically require its singer to hit notes Sinatra was no longer capable of reaching. Every single time he resolved the challenge with an alternate note that surprised, delighted, and worked. That night I liked all of the songs without exception. Each was the best version I had ever heard. Overblown lyrics felt meaningful. It taught me some amazing lessons about aging and was quite the show.So I Willie's band was a very acoustic version. His voice is not as powerful as younger days. He is still a master at what he does.

I look now and see that he was then younger that Willie (and Neil Young), and not that much older than I currently am. I gotta book me some dates.
Neil Young is so good.
I'd advise staying away from A-ha's "Take On Me". But otherwise, go for it!
