OT: Fantastic Concert Coming to UConn.

Last night we went to Mass. to see an incredibly enjoyable concert featuring Bela Fleck (15 Grammies and counting), plus five other great banjo pickers, backed by a top-notch group of instrumentalists. Billed under the title "Banjo Summit," and now in a 13-concert tour of six northeastern states. They will perform at UConn on Saturday, October 12, and I enthusiastically urge those of you near Storrs to see them. Alternately, they will perform in Mass., Vermont, Long Island, and New Jersey. Google "Banjo Summit Tour" for details, video clips, etc., but run, don't walk, to the Jorgenson Center on Saturday for a very special treat.

I got to hear/see Audra McDonald at Queens College. Holy Kamole - wonderful singer, wonderful personality. A treasure. MAKE THE EFFORT TO SEE HER!
