Best NBA prospect regardless of class committed MSU today. Class of 2022 kid.

Somewhat UConn related potentially as it seems (may not be suppprted by fact) like a lot of top 2022 kids are committing earlier than in years past. May be Covid influenced, but a lot of these kids seem to be staying local with schools they’ve had a long relationship with (Dior & Emoni) Hopefully this helps with Clingan, maybe even getting an earlier decision where we can then pivot and fill around him.

It was always gonna be MSU or G-league for Bates. Despite his commitment today, I still wouldn’t put money on him playing in East Lansing.

His game reminds me of KD. Normally shouldnt compare any high schooler or college players game to KD, but getting national player of the year as a sophomore just shows he might get to that caliber of player
