Fun event tonight. The course went through the concourse in the stadium near the end. I yelled out UCONN a couple of times on my way through. Didn't get a HUSKIES back. Sad.

8,000 people for a fun run. All about marketing.

And here's the kicker. 8,000+ (the organizer said nearly 9,000) at $60+/pop - for a non-timed fun-run. People WILL spend money on leisure activities. With what got spent on site, probably well north of $500K of revenue. The third such event like this (at least) at the Rent this year (Fitathalon and Run or Dye were earlier in the year). Zombie run is Oct 6 (bye week).
