Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium Southside Renovation Project Plans Released - ECU Pirates Official Athletic Site

>>Since the existing pressbox was erected in 1978, there have not been any additions on the southside of the facility. The latest project at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium was the completion of a 7,000-seat expansion in the east endzone in 2010. That same year, a total of 10,200 purple chairback seats replaced existing bleachers inside the 35-yard lines on both sides of the venue.

The proposed plan is subject to additional approval by the ECU Board of Trustees and the UNC Board of Governors. The project is also contingent on the combination of philanthropic giving and premium seating commitments, including the new Club Level, Loge Boxes, Standard Suites and Founder's suites.<<

One of David Benedict's resume pros is his ability to raise funds for football stadium renovation projects. I hope he can find a way to raise the necessary funds to begin our stadium's renovation project soon. We're getting left behind...in our conference.

Funny, I didn't see an AAC logo on the field in that video. Conspiracy Kitty, what does it mean?

Let's fill the stadium first. Then get the plans in motion.

I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but no AAC team fills their stadium. Not ECU. Not Cincinnati. Not UCF. Would be a nice, quick renovation project to turn the scoreboard pedestrian zone into a lounge/bar area and go a long way towards the highly sought after "gameday experience" for many casual fans.
