The only pitcher in World Series history to throw a perfect game passed away at age 90 this week. The film of Yogi Berra jumping into Larsen’s arms after he fanned Dale Mitchell of the Dodgers for the last out is classic. Larsen was overall at best a journeyman level pitcher who caught lightning in a bottle for one game. He was one of the better hitting pitchers of his era.
