Are they honestly playing this game? Isn't it supposed to be -20 degrees? Playing football in that weather goes way beyond macho into suicidal.

Those temps are dangerously low. They should have made the decision yesterday to move this game to Saturday, it won't be quite as bad. At least move the start time up to 1 pm.

TJ won't need a jacket if he gets this gig. Might be Willie giving a friend an interview, but who knows. From footballscoop.com

South Florida: Sources tell us Willie Taggart is in advanced discussions with 49ers senior offensive assistant (and former Washington State head coach) Paul Wulff to join his staff as offensive coordinator. We also hear TJ Weist is in consideration.

I was there. It was -8 according to my car. I'm heading to the airport this afternoon to freeze my ass off again.

I don't know whether to admire you or to call you a moron.

But they're giving away free hand warmers to the fans, so it's all good. Those will prevent hypothermia! lol

It will help. But so many of the people up here are hunters and they just go in their hunting gear. Looks like it is about the same today as the 2007 NFC championship game. Was bad but I lived through that. Better prepared this time.

I will not be actively rooting for the 49ers or the Packers. I don't care one way or the other for either of those teams. I will, however, root for you.

Tomorrow is better weather than Monday in Green Bay. Temp tomorrow 3 (-25 wind chill) but Monday -11 (windchill unknown but probably close to -35 or -40)

Don't forget Ice Bowl, 1967

"
In their last offensive drive, the Packers took over possession with 4:50 left in the game.[39] With the wind chill around −70 °F / −57 °C,[40] (or −50 °F / −46 °C)[41] Starr led his team down the field with three key completions: a 13-yard pass to Dowler, a 12-yarder to running back Donny Anderson, and a 19-yard throw to fullback Chuck Mercein down to the Cowboys 11-yard line. Then Mercein ran 8 yards to the Cowboys' 3-yard line. Anderson carried on the next play to the 1-yard line for a first down. Twice Anderson attempted to run the ball into the end zone, but both times he slipped on the icy field before taking the handoff and was tackled at the 1-yard line. The second time he almost fell down before Starr gave him the ball. By then the thermometer read −20 °F/ −29 °C.

Let's see TJW try this in short sleeves. I walked 4 blocks in this today in downtown Chicago and was nearly in tears.

Btw. Last summer I say with Jerry Kramer over beers and listened to him tell the ice bowl story again. Pretty incredible to hear it from someone that lived it.

You are freaking insane! My wife used to travel to the Chicago, Minnesota, Wisconsin region for work and refused to travel in winter for that exact reason, weather! She'd cram in all her work travel in the other 3 seasons but she learned after her first year how not so enjoyable travelling to the Midwest in the winter is (temperature, weather, delayed flights, etc). Hope you had a blast at the game last night.
