The wife and I moved out of CT 10 years ago. We’re back for the 1st two rounds. Anybody have suggestions for a good restaurant for dinner for our Monday night’s pre-game meal? We’d like good food with martinis available. Anywhere within 15-20 minutes of Storrs would be fine. We’re staying at the Graduate hotel.

A friend suggested Fenton River Grill (down toward Willamantic). Do you know if it’s any good. We used to live in Glastonbury for many years, so we know the great eating places there.

I’ve only had lunch there but it was good.

There is the Red Rock Cafe Restaurant, about a 5 minute drive from Gampel in Storrs. Just drive north on Discovery Drive (a new road that runs parallel to, and just west of, Route 195). Where Discovery Drive ends at Route 44, there is a shopping plaza on the north side of Route 44 which contains this restaurant. It's not gourmet dining, but it's a friendly neighborhood place that will give you a good and filling meal.

I got a plate of penne pasta there yesterday which will be big enough for three meals. But there are burgers, wings, and other such fare if you prefer that.

And this is why I want the Final Four here in Vegas, so you guys can enjoy all of the great food here, both at the casino's and regular eateries.
I agree - I'll be there and I'll buy you dinner.

JGilberts in Glastonbury best steak in Ct. Their fish is awesome too. We go to eat there once a month as my daughter lives there too.

Figure there's no shortage of replies when it comes to food on the Boneyard. I cannot offer up anything within 15 or so minutes from Gampel....but if you're in the New Haven area....;)
