I guess take this with a grain of salt, but I never really heard what happened with Denham Brown and the NBA after being drafted in the 2nd round. He was one of my favorite players on that 2006 team and I was surprised that he wasn't able to last at least a couple of years in the NBA.

I'm surprised that he acted that way but I'm really not surprised at his career.

He didn't seem to have passion for the game. Maybe he just didn't want to play and struggled with commitment because of it.

Ehh, Denham wasn't a great shooter, nor tremendous athlete. In the NBA you need to be one or the other to survive as a wing player, preferably both. At least he can always tell his grandkids he scored 111 points in a game.

Yeah - he didn't make it because he wasn't good enough. If he had a surly attitude, it maybe closed the door quicker, but he could have been Bob Ross or Mr. Rogers and he would have been cut.

To me it seemed like he peeked during his freshman-sophomore seasons.

I was more surprised by Stanley Robinson not getting a shot in the league. He was pretty much a first round lock after his junior season.

If Stix left after his junior year, he would have been drafted.

First half of his senior year, he looked every bit the part. He mastered a consistent little mid-range bank shot and was showing some improved range. Then, like everything else that season, his game spiraled in the wrong direction.

I remember him on campus. He was a d*ck at times in the dining hall. I figured that the athletes were all d*cks until I met Mek and Rudy. Two of the nicest players I ever met while at UCONN.

He wasn't a 1st round pick after his junior season and a final 4? Yea the whole team sucked senior year, but mostly just bad chemistry
Stanley was still listed in the 1st round of mocks after his sr year ended, it wasn't until the workouts started, and most notably his performance in the draft combine where he was fumbling the ball all over the place when he tried to put it on the floor, when he started to fall on the draft board. Who knows, maybe he would've got the benefit of the doubt as an underclassmen, but he could've still dropped if he came out as a jr.
