OT: Dean Smith is buying!

I heard this morning that the estate of Dean Smith has sent a check for $200 to every player who lettered at North Carolina during his tenure there. A letter accompanies the check with Dean saying that he wants each
player to go out with family/friends for a nice dinner...on him. There are about 180 recipients...total cost
around 36 grand.

Charles Barkley was joking with Kenny Smith about that. First, Kenny was almost overwhelmed talking about Coach Smith and the surprise gift. Then, Charles said that he'd have to eat in Indiana or someplace other than NYC to get a meal for $200. Kenny shot back that Charles can't eat anywhere for $200, because he orders so much.

Dean was one of the classiest guys around. And still is.
