ot - Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

I've been prelim diagnosed with cubital (like carpal tunnel of wrist, but in elbow). Ulnar nerve pinch at elbow causing numb / pinch-with-needle feeling in little finger to wrist, some diminished strength and muscle atrophy. Remedy is surgery. Anyone have info on outcomes of such surgery? Bones and muscles are straightforward, but nerves are wierd to me. Apparently my mother's scolding on putting my elbows on table was warranted.
