Anyone watching? Should be interesting to see this year's G5 rep try to hang with the big boys.

WMU got the softest defense I ever seen. Many of the AAC teams could do better than this. WMU is getting destroyed by the Wisky OL.

I wish WMU well but I also wish it was an AAC team. I think a Houston or a USF would have had a heck of a lot better chance to win...

Mehh. WMU has hung in but have been suffocated by Wiscy's D.

Fleck was the sexy hire a lot on this board wanted. Their clock draining TD drive to get within one xcorecwas very Diacoesque. They threw away any realistic shot at the win by not concerning themselves with the clock.

WMU has shown enough to justify their spot. Better than Wash and OSU. People who deride the G5 bid make a lot of assumptions. This game and past autobids show that a good team is a good team and you can't assume the quality based on the conference patch alone. They don't look like a playoff team, but you could say the same about the two losers from this weekend too.

#84 is making him look really good. That drive was very much like Diaco. However, even though it is not saying much but I am pretty sure he is way better coach than Diaco.

For his sake I hope he is a far better coach than BD. The thing of it is, some of the names people were throwing out may be different coaches, in terms of style, than what the posters thought they were.

This happens all the time during bowl season. Let's take the coaching change aside; the team that actually gives a crap about being in the bowl game normally wins. That really had killed the AAC this year, with a bunch of games that nobody cared about. Only USF played in a bowl game that they could get amped up for, and one could argue that perhaps USCe wasn't amped up to start.

So yeah...that Houston...

Western Michigan won all their conference games by 14+ points.

Oh sorry he couldn't score fast enough against a very good Wisconsin team and his MAC team lost by 8.

Comparing him to Diaco is absurd.

Comparing a lawn chair's coaching ability to Diaco's is absurd. It wouldn't be fair to Diaco.

I thought WMU held its own vs a big tough and skilled Wiscy team
I was impressed with WMUs size and their wide receivers could play with any team in the country and will be playing on Sundays
What was evident was that Wiscy was more athletic, especially in the grunt positions
The WMU team has nothing to be ashamed about - that 4th qtr interception was the game changer
I too thought that they didn't manage the clock very well on the last scoring drive but didn't want to burn the TOs in case they got the ball back - and almost did with the onsides kick
WMU is a solid team and should be ranked nearer to the top 10
