I've seen worse attempts. As they say, there's a truth in every stereotype.
My only issue with that suburb of NYC (Fairfield County) was when I was in high school. Our Conard HS tennis team would finish the year like 15-2. Maybe losing to Simsbury & Glastonbury during the season. Then we'd go to the States and get our asses kicked in the 2nd or 3rd round by some semi-pro guys from Westport or Fairfield or Greenwich. LoLAs a middle-class kid from Greenwich (raised by a single mom who was a teacher and lived in a house her godfather built for her mom in the 1940s), nothing was better than getting regional prejudice while at UConn by in-state kids.
At first, I hated it, but then my older sister and fellow UConn alum said there's 16,000 people at UConn. If people give you crap about being from Greenwich, then hang out with other people. Turns out, it wasn't that many people and almost everyone who crapped on my hometown tended to be rich kids from other rich towns from Fairfield County, lol.
When I would meet a kid from Westport or Greenwich I would probably make a singular joke within an hour of meeting them about being rich and then never bring it up againAs a middle-class kid from Greenwich (raised by a single mom who was a teacher and lived in a house her godfather built for her mom in the 1940s), nothing was better than getting regional prejudice while at UConn by in-state kids.

A good joke is a good joke. My favorite was my long-time roommate in college was a super rich kid from Orange, but he always asked me to pick up the tab in jest. When I would meet a kid from Westport or Greenwich I would probably make a singular joke within an hour of meeting them about being rich and then never bring it up again
Same. I’d go undefeated until states and then run into someone from Fairfield County who’d kick my ass. I played Mike Filipek from Fairfield Prep one year who was #1 in New England and he made me feel like I’d never picked up a racket before. My only issue with that suburb of NYC (Fairfield County) was when I was in high school.
