Wondering if anyone watched this last night? Probably the best dunk contest I've ever seen and 10x better than any nba dunk contest in recent memory. Everyone was throwing down sick dunks and there wasn't many misses. Dude who won it had like a 52 inch vert. I'm sure they will replay it a lot on ESPN, catch it if you can.

Dunk contests jumped the shark (or the rim) about 25 years ago.

That was one of like 12 amazing dunks in the contest. "Jumped the shark" jumped the shark like 25 years ago.

Good one swami, taking people to task on the internet for their word choice and grammar stopped being cool around the same time "jump the shark" stopped being cool.

Johnhuskies actually used the word "like" in an appropriate manner -- if not technically proper, then as commonly used. He used it to mean "approximately." He didn't use it as a Valley Girl might (as a crutch such as "you know").

Also, Vin Carter absolutely lit up the Dunk Contest well after your arbitrary 1987 cut-off date.

It still sounds ignorant (or "ignant" for those who speak Sharpton).

You really should be more careful about what you choose to enjoy. ;)
