Say what? WMBF : CCU cheerleading team suspended; cheerleader says anonymous letter alleged prostitution, misconduct

>>A cheerleader who spoke on the condition of anonymity said an investigator with the CCU Department of Public Safety came to their practice Wednesday night. The cheerleader said the investigator explained to the team an anonymous letter was mailed to school president David DeCenzo on March 7 alleging that team members were involved in “a long list of things,” including prostitution, purchasing alcohol for underage team members, and paying others to complete their homework assignments.<<

Was the anonymous complaint from the NCAA?

"Girls had the nerve to ask us to pay to screw student athletes"

That squad is loaded with HS All-American cheerleaders.

Never knew there was such a thing.

If you told me this happened and asked me to guess what school it happened at, Coastal would be at the top of my list.

1. A random letter and they shut the whole thing down?
2. They let them search their phones? That's insane.
3. If buying booze for underage kids is an issue in college - there wouldn't be any students over 21.
4. Who runs these schools - are they completely brain dead?

Not sure if it's still the case, but when I graduated high school in 2011 Coastal was known primarily for its high prevalence of STDs. I think it had the most cases of any school in the nation at the time or something.

It still was in 2014.

Alabama and Auburn are in the top 5 for STDs. No wonder how they get their football players.

Better put every investigator on this case. What could be worse?

I don't think so. He is probably ticked he didn't think of it first! "Pimping the cheerleaders...damn!"
Didn't OKST get in trouble with their welcoming crew or something like that?

College athletics - at least football and men's hoops - needs to be blown up. . . . and started up again. Begin with bringing in viable college students, working towards a legitimate degree. Violations - at least serious ones that are criminal - should require them to forfeit their scholarship. In fact do away with alhletic scholarships altogether.
