OT: Chase Budinger

Most of you don't know this guy by name, but if you saw what school he played for you would remember him. Budinger played college basketball at Arizona from 2006-09. He was the tall ginger dude on their team.

He made the Olympics- in beach volleyball. He's on one of the two men's teams in the 24-team event.

The most amazing part: in addition to being a top 5 basketball recruit as a senior in high school he was also the national player of the year in boy's volleyball. Guy was a high school version of Deion Sanders.

Always loved Budinger and Chandler Parsons as some non-UConn random guys.

Also, a few friends of mine have stories of playing him in HS when he was a sophomore and he was already insane - they traveled to CA for a big tournament but they weren’t that high level, and he did things they’d never seen. He was already a top rated VB player at that point, but I’ve heard those stories for years.

He might also be the track and field HOF too. After seeing his sneaker at the BB HOF he could be in the sneaker hall of fame too.

I'm pretty sure he was a lottery pick too in the NBA. Good for him! I saw parts of their first Volleyball match. They toyed with their opponent. Go USA!
