Was visiting my son who lives near Syracuse. We were out for dinner and encountered a woman and her kids who live in his neighborhood (the restaurant is nowhere near his house). Turned out she is the wife of former SU guard Adrian Autry who was a big time recruit coming out of hs in the early 90s. Very nice woman, a GTown grad. We talked the Big East demise and the end of the UConn rivalry. I guess the Autrys don't like the end of the era. Oddly enough, Autry, now a Boeheim assistant, was an assistant at VTech when my son was on the VTech faculty and they both moved to Syracuse the same year and to the same neighborhood just outside the city. My granddaughter knew their son in Blacksburg but the families didn't really know each other until landing back up north. BTW, not all that much snow in Syracuse this year, none on the ground now.
ETA: Mrs. Autry is very familiar with UConn women star freshman Brianna Stewart who comes from a Syracuse suburb.
