This is exactly why the people saying joining the "Big East" would have been a good idea have no idea what they're talking about.

The Big East is in serious danger of turning into a mid-major. And its schools are stuck. They're not going anywhere (but their coaches are!). I'm not saying the AAC is a good conference, but the point is that we're not married to it.

It cracks me up when Big Least fans make fun of our conference. The AAC is a joke but at least we admit it. The Big L fans are in such denial it's embarrassing. That pitiful conference with no football is the dumpster of all dumpsters. Thanks for paying us millions for the name guys..

Buzz Williams left Marquette for a variety of reasons, sources told ESPN. One of the biggest was new league/new TV package.

That was my gut reaction. And it probably is a lateral move, basketball-wise. But a power conference is a power conference, and they could probably throw a lot more money at him than Marquette was.
