I just learned that Diana Taurasi is the all time leading scorer in the WNBA, and the first to score 8000 points. I realize some of you probably follow the WNBA and that's old news to you, but my interest in women's basketball is casual at best and I thought that it was fantastic that Taurasi is the all-time leading scorer. Great to see anyone from UConn at the top of their profession.

During one of the NBA conference finals games, she was there and the announcers were talking about her. Van Gundy said she's hands down the best female basketball player ever.

She also is all time three point leader

Sue Bird is all time assist leader (she's #4 in 3 pointers and #8 in scoring.)

As great as Taurasi is, Maya Moore is on track to surpass her in scoring.
