I had no idea. Very surprising to hear. Good for her.
Good for her. Not surprising, but it was in an interview and she just discussed it like it was common knowledge. Very classy way of sliding it into the questions and conversation. I certainly hope this board discusses it in just as classy a manner.
and there goes the hope that it could be discussed in a classy manner on the board.........Since when is it big news for a Man to prefer Women?
I bet he shaves his chest
Do you think she posts pictures of her calves on message boards?

Nah but your mom helps out from time to timeHAHAHAHA. SO FUNNY!!! Does Larry the Cable Guy write your material?
I can't tell what's more offensive: your "jokes," or how pathetically unoriginal and unfunny they are.
You don't see how gay athletes coming out publicly would be inspirational to young, gay kids who are traditionally heckled, beat up and abused at school? Ok.The point i was trying to make is who cares? this is not news worthy or surprising. as far as this being inspirational to other girls and boys to feel the confidence to come out is pointless. there are plenty of openly gay athletes out there and i dont see how yet another is somehow news.
I agree. The fact that not a SINGLE NFL or NHL player (not sure about MLB or NBA, but I think the same for those leagues as well?) has come out while playing shows that, indeed, it IS a big deal. The momentum is beginning to swing, but it is still a VERY big deal. You don't see how gay athletes coming out publicly would be inspirational to young, gay kids who are traditionally heckled, beat up and abused at school? Good point that the WNBA culture is different than the mens' professional sports. It certainly doesn't have the effect of a man coming out as gay in the pro sports world. It would be a big deal if it was one of the men's professional sports associations, but the WNBA has many openly gay players including many of the biggest stars. I commend her for her future commitment to the GLBT community and discussing her personal life to assist others.

Some humor can be a sign of intelligence, sharp wit, good observational powers. Unfortunately for Sammy here, some humor (usually the stuff that's unfunny and unoriginal) can be a sign of deep-seated insecurity.HAHAHAHA. SO FUNNY!!! Does Larry the Cable Guy write your material?

And to think she speaks so highly of you...... SmhNo wonder your material stinks. Nice lady but can't tell a joke for .
Maybe Sammy is over the top, but that announcement is like saying water is wet. It ain't even her looks as much as its that voice.
shame one you. do you think that was easy for her? i would think that the #1 women's basketball program would be more sensitive to the idea of gay athletes. most likely uconn has had gay women players, like it or not. this thread is an abomination. If she really is a he, then does liking she's make him hetero?
