OT: Bill Russell: Very good history lesson

Just wanted to give him some shine while he's still around. Also wanted you young'uns to know (or learn) that he was more than a basketball great but a true pioneer. I was never a Celtic fan, but I have much respect for him and always did. Hard to find this type of man in any of the professional sports nowadays.

By the way he went to Medgar Evans funeral when his life was threatened and charged the NBA to hire black referees. He also was a target of white supremacy. Linky
