Food&Wine: The Best Coffee in Every State
Story & Soil Coffee, Hartford
A trio of talented locals, passionate in equal measures about coffee and their city, joined up last year to create one of New England's most modern multi-roaster cafes, on an appealing block at the heart of Connecticut's struggling state capital. Success was far from assured, and the sailing hasn't always been entirely smooth, but at least in this corner of town, things are looking up.
Also try Up the road from Hartford in the idyllic Farmington Valley, Canton's relaxed Giv Coffee rather undersells the fact that you've stepped onto the premises of a well-awarded roasting operation.<<
At the MacDonalds you can now order in the app. Pay in the app. Park your car in the lot and just type the spot number into the app and they bring it to your car.
This debate is settled.
Dunkin Donuts has some pretty decent coffee. OK so it's not as "fancy" or "sophisticated" compared to what local coffeehouses offer, but it still tastes good and is a great pick-me-up.
I am a fan of their chocolate carmel iced coffee.
Old school regular.
Anyone been to J Renee? How are their beans the have for sale?
Story and Soil is really great. Giv Coffee is used at many places around the state, including Story and Soil. They use other roasters as well, but usually have Giv for sale in 12 oz bags in their shop. They also use Giv and sell Giv in bulk at Silk City in Manchester
They're decent, but you're better off just going to Giv in Canton as Medic mentioned, or getting something else that's available at Story and Soil. Price won't be any different and quality will be higher
