The link takes you to the site with info on the Augusta National women's amateur tourney....the first one.
April 3-6. Two rounds at a local course....cut...last round on Saturday to be played at Augusta National Golf Course.
There will be lots of TV coverage...especially on Saturday.
Given the history of the course regarding various forms of discrimination, this is a big deal....hopefully the players will enjoy it and there will be fans on the course....I would hope tickets for the public will be readily available....tickets for the Masters week starting April 8 are so hard to get.
This OT event will provide a bit of respite for UConn fans to either relax a bit getting ready for Sunday's game...or to provide some beauty to alleviate the angst if things go awry on Friday night.
BTW: Drive/Chip/Putt competition on Sunday for boys and girls ages 7-15. Augusta National has hosted this for several years and it is growing by leaps and bounds....another nice step forward for the course.
