I probably talk NBA as much as anyone on here but do you ever actually talk about UConn basketball at all? For as long as this incarnation of the board has been up I can't ever recall you discussing UConn basketball once. Why not just visit the RealGM boards if you want to get deep into discussing the NBA and your Knicks.

im pretty sure every team is going to have 6 wins this year, why not bring up something relevant. Im a Knicks fan just like you I like the way we are playing as a team I dont wanna jinx anything though im taking it as a game by game approach. You can bring up the Knicks every now and then but this is a UConn board.

Kemba Walker is having a great start to the season.

I think Kevin Ollie is doing a good job so far.

I hope UConn goes to the B10.

It's an 82 game season, I'm sure more divisions will have more than 4 teams with 6 wins or better. The point was the Atlantic division is actually playing out like a few people thought in that it being an incredibly competitive division.

I give you credit, you're a truly shameless Knicks fan. Absolutely no one gives a **** about the Atlantic Division but here you are touting a 6 game winning streak like it means something, the day after a real winning streak that people actually noticed got snapped. Good stuff.

I think they're a few NBA fans on this board who root for teams in the Atlantic Division. Look, my alma mater isn't in the tournament. I don't see a reason why an off topic NBA thread is such a problem 11 games before the playoffs.

You're definitely entitled to your opinion but I disagree. I think both teams are gunning for the crown for the first time in 10 years for the Nets and 19 years for the Knicks. NY is on a 7 game win streak with BK 3 and half games behind them. Brooklyn plays 4 playoff teams and NY plays 8 playoff teams between now and the end of the season. It's an exciting time for NY fans.

I find it so cute that Knicks fans are excited. Potentially a Regular season title of a mediocre division and a first round playoff loss. I guess that is a successful season for Knicks fans.

But hey build your team around Melo and that is all you really can look forward too

The Atlantic division is the most competitive division in the NBA. The worst team has a lot of good peices including Kyle Lowry, Amir Johnson and Rudy Gay. It's also the only division with every team having at least 27 wins.

As to your dismissive attitude of the Knicks, I'll let our current standings and head to head success against the Celtics this season speak for themselves. Enjoy YOUR potential first round exit to the Heat, Pacers or the Knicks because I see the Bucks are only a few games behind you in the 8th seed.

Just need to get healthy and hot at the right time. Jr Smith is our true MVP this year. Tyson is day to day, Amare could be back for the playoffs, i know we are stuck with his contract but we will need him if we want to get far, ill take 10-15 minutes off the bench from him rather then Copeland any day. Shumpert is getting back his form, so were getting there, gotta keep it up.

I wouldn't go as far as to say JR being our true MVP but he's definitely coming into his own at the most appropriate time of the season. If STAT can give us 10-12 minutes off the bench I think that would be great. He was responsible for the infusion of talent to NY so if he can contribute, I think it's the right thing to do. I think our ideal lineup is Felton, Shump, Melo, KMart and Tyson. Sheed was on the court recently in practice. Kurt is coming along and Camby is in the wings. The plethora of defensive big men on this squad reminds me of the 2004 Huskies. This team was built to challenge the Heat with all the bigs they went after in the off season. Definitely can't wait until the playoffs.

Camby is waiting in the wings? The guy is toast.

No one in the East is challenging the Heat. They have a cake walk to the finals.

I don't think that's entirely true. Heat have lost at least twice to the Knicks, Bulls and Pacers this year. Each team gives the Heat problems when they play big and slow down the game. Chicago and Indiana beat you up with their bigs. Also in the two blowout wins, NY had at least 20 assists. Heat usually struggle against a team that moves the ball that's why I'm very interested in their game against the Spurs tomorrow. I am not saying there are teams in the east that will beat Miami in a seven game series. But challenge them in 6 or 7 games? Hell yeah.

Camby, Sheed, Thomas, are here for the playoffs. That's it. If that trio can give us 25 rebounds, 6-8 blocks with their 18 fouls I'm ok with that.

How many playoff series have the Knicks won since 2000? How did all that offseason training with Hakeem work for amare? No division in the East is the best in the NBA.

Last year the Knicks won a single playoff game and that was a major major step forward for the organization.

Knicks fans are so delusional. Right up there with PC fans.

I admire your passion as a fan - honestly, I do. But you don't seem to realize that the regular season doesn't matter an iota when it comes to the playoffs.

Chicago probably doesn't win a game against the Heat if Rose doesn't come back (which it's getting safe to say he's not). Ditto for the Pacers with no Granger. The playoffs all come down to great players, and the Bulls and Pacers don't have any.

The Knicks are the only one of those three that have a chance to win a couple games, especially since Melo tends to play well against Miami. But even then, we're looking at a best-case scenario of a 4-2 series.

Barring a LeBron James injury, the Heat will coast through the Eastern Conference.

2 playoff series since 2000. I still don't understand what that has to do with this years squad.

STAT was a beast inside and around the block until he had surgery. Ask any Knick fan, the guy brought a more stable back to the basket element to the team.

Rest on your past laurels tho, those multiple championships will help your team this year when Russell, Havlicek and Bird join the team in April.

Ok, let's review. Yes, Knicks are on a 7 game win streak, with wins over Charlotte, Memphis, Boston, Toronto (twice), Orlando & Utah. Only the Memphis win is impressive. Prior to that, the Knicks had lost 4 0f 5. Brooklyn, is like 6-4 recently, with wins over Portland, Phoenix, Dallas, Detroit & New Orleans. Not exactly quality wins. Boston is 4-7 recently, with wins over Atlanta, Cleveland, Charlotte & Toronto.
