OT: Anybody have any idea how WNBA calculates Games Behind?

WNBA apparently has a different method for calculating Games Behind than any I've seen before. It certainly does not fit the method shown in Wikipedia.

Looks like they do it based on east and west still, even though they don't really have conferences any more. So the games behind for the west are behind the Aces and for the east it's behind the Sun.

If it’s based on East and West, that’s likely for the Commissioner’s Cup, which is held about mid-season.
