Tournaments like today is why PGA moved to May. They want days like today with Spieth and Johnson in the final group before everyone's attention turns to football.

Spieth eviscerated Fowler yesterday; right now DJ is playing nervous.

All the big names are healthy this week except for McIlroy. Course lets you play long but your distance control with irons and your putting better be spot on.

Spieth makes birdie on #3. Has birdied 15 of last 31 holes.

Today was great.

DJ showed why he's the best player in the world, down 5 with 11 holes left and with Spieth getting the group put on the clock he still comes back and wins. The way he played that sudden death hole was a thing of beauty.

For those who believe DJ's "A" game is better than the others "A" games, the playoff hole on 18 was example #1. DJ sawed off the dogleg of a 48 yard par 4 by hitting it 310 in the air over water leaving him an 85 yard lob up the hill. Jordan ripped it down the middle of the fairway and had about 170 yards up the hill. Jason Day, Rory or Thomas could hit the shot DJ did, but DJ is long and straight more consistently than them.

I'll say the putt DJ hit on 18 in regulation was the biggest clutch putt of his life. Downhill 20' and a bender. Miss it and go home, there isn't a playoff. Even when he won the US Open he had the lead all Sunday (including the BS potential penalty hanging over his head).

I am one who does believe that and the driver is a prime reason but DJ is also statistically one of the best wedge players in the world.

That putt was amazing and his reaction after making that putt was the biggest reaction I have ever seen him have and that includes winning the US Open.

The remaining 3 events should be great.

Considering DJ has yet to win the Fedex Cup this is pretty interesting:

Johnson now shares the FedExCup Playoffs records for most wins (4, with Rory McIlroy), most top-5s (9, with Jason Day and Tiger Woods) and most top-10s (16, with Jim Furyk).
