On October 4, I posted:

"Kansas City won third consecutive game. . . looking like Cinderella."

Last night, darned if they didn't do it again, 8-6 over the Orioles in extra innings.

Will the glass clipper fit?

Here is who I'm rooting for.....

Buck Showalter - good manager, hope he can get it done for his first championship.

World Series starts tonight. KC has won eight consecutive playoff games. Are they a Cinderella team? Or are they about to turn into a pumpkin?

Stay tuned.

[on edit: I wish I had been betting on KC instead of posting about their miraculous run.]

Gotta pull for the Giants now. (it was my grandma's team).

Gotta go with the Royals. Spending my high school years in Omaha, KC was the closest team to cheer for. Of course there were some die hard Cubs fans in the family, but for National League teams I can only root for my Dodgers which was the team of my younger youth. And even more reason I can't cheer for the Giants.

The big question in the media seems to be whether more than 100 people will tune in to watch...

Heard on the news this morning that SFO radio stations have banned the playing of the song "Royals" by Lourde. While KC stations are playing it hourly. Ah, the craziness that is sports.
