Greenwich, Connecticut's Abbie Wolf, a 6'4" post player from Greenwich High School whom Coach Geno scouted for awhile, is doing a respectable job for Northwestern. The junior is averaging 4.8 points and 3.5 rebounds through 27 games. Her scoring average is good enough for fifth best on the team, despite the fact that she plays just under 15 minutes per game, which is 8th on the team. She's 4th in rebounds as well. Her ppg mark would be substantially better were she not one of the worst free-throw shooters in WCBB, however. She's missed 16 of her 24 free-throws, marking a percentage of 33.3%. Ouch!
In any event, she's getting into games this year, and making an impression for the 15-12 Wildcats.
Sorry she couldn't be doing it for UConn. But always heartening to see a Nutmegger do well!!!
