This smart, small documentary film focuses on New Haven's Ring One Boxing and its founder, trainer/mentor/coach/ Brian Clark, who also happens to be one of the first good friends I made when I moved to Connecticut a little over thirty years ago. I've seen him coach in the past, but like all of us (and Geno), he's calmed down a lot.
His remarks throughout remind me of Geno; talking about valuing integrity and character over athletic ability and wondering how to tap into a young person's potential-- and kicking himself when he can't.
If you have 15 minutes, it's worth the time.
