This was Jerry Lucas and John Gianelli ,Clyde and Pearl in the backcourt. Debusshere and Bradley were still on the team.

Yeah he was the starter. I seem to remember Lucas and Gianelli at center and pf alot. They were the back ups.

That season both Reed and Lucas sat quite a bit down the stretch in order to keep both healthy for the playoffs and it worked better than anticipated.

When all were healthy (perhaps 5% of the time they were all together) the starting five of Reed. DeBusschere, Bradley, Monroe & Frazier could give anyone nightmares as each of the five could pass, play inside or outside as well as anyone in the NBA at their position, each could defend and as a team their defense was exceptional.

Those Knicks (until 74 when all of their bigs were the walking wounded) were a terrible matchup for that Celtic team What happened the prior year? Havlicek was healthy then.
