OT - 106.9 WCCC

They're doing their 1,069 songs in a row thing... I listen for a few minutes here and there in the car, noticed today they haven't had any DJ's on the mic during this block. Also the songs they're playing are more broadly classic / alt rock, like a mix of 104.1 and 99.1 instead of the usual WCCC heavy / hard playlist. Could this be a mass firing, or a takeover by clearchannel on the way? I hope not. I searched the news but haven't seen anythying yet...

I listen to Howard almost exclusively in the car. Gave up on CCC years ago. Way too many commercials. 20 minutes of content an hour got so old. Call the station... See what happens.

CCC is one of the best rock stations I've ever come across. Better than anything in Boston or Philly. Sad that they're going to ruin things.

Meh WCCC is terrible. I can't believe how many people still wanna listen to endless Nickelback and Linkin Park songs. They're getting murdered by 104.1. I don't love all alt, but I'd rather listen to Mumford & Sons and Grouplove than the same crap WCCC has been playing for decades.

The only thing I love WCCC for is when they play the heavier stuff, but it's washed out by so much meh rock like Buck Cherry and Tantric that I can't bother.

WCCC was cool, and then I grew up and figured out that nu-metal and crap like that is terrible.

How anyone likes Buckcherry is beyond me.

As soon as I get within striking distance when I'm driving home, I turn 104.1 on immediately. So much better. I was sad when it left us some years ago. 104 Fest was a fun time.

Come on...Crazy Bitch was pretty good, at least the version you can't play on the radio. I saw some band do a cover at the Hungry Tiger the last time I was in town....definitely rocked.
