Ortiz and Jeter may miss the opener

At this point, Jeter has had a minor set-back. With Ortiz, we may be looking at the all-star break if then. Things are not looking good for either the Yankees or the Sox.

If you look at the opening day line up it could be:

Gardner
Suzuki
Cano
Youkilis
Hafner
Boesch
Nunez
Nix
Stewart/Cervelli

Dl: Jeter, A-Rod, Rapata, Pineda, Granderson, Tex. (also possibility: Hughes)

I thought that the February line up was weak, before, Granderson, Tex, Rapata and possibly Jeter and Hughes were DL'ed! This is unbelievably sad for a Yankee fan.
Oh, I just read that Boesch has been scratched for the next 2 days. He had a flare-up while riding the bus to the Twins game!

Ortiz is still not running. Achilles injuries can take a long time to heal. Now Jacoby had to be taken out of the game. The only good news is that Jackie Bradley will probably make the team.
