I see the Pac 12, Big 12 and ACC are also represented. In fact, with teams like Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Auburn, in the next 25 or so you may see all of the 5 power conferences on the list.

The guy who wrote the blog "Pre-Snap Read" now writes for the USA Today and is doing a similar countdown, I recommend reading that as well.

Thanks for posting hopefully we can get a better read on the AAC schools soon instead of just a number.

Seriously they must have forgotten UMass. Myerberg has them at 124.

If anyone thought this was bogus because UMass was missing at the bottom, that was an error in the links. UMass is #123, 3rd from the bottom.

Sadly enough there isn't anything controversial in the write-up.

Defense was very good, offense was horrible, defense lost a bunch of players, returning offensive players have to step up and improve, need to have a breakout WR, etc.

Two straight 5-7 seasons and you're stuck with "show me" you'll be better.

I actually think they did a good job with the write up but they didn't mention the new OC and failed to realize we beat some good teams last year(Louisville) with absolutely no offense. I think our fall on defense won't be as far as our rise on offense this year. Call me an optimist I guess.

This program will get no respect until they can put out on the field a worthy offense. College football still smarting and angry about the Fiesta Bowl. The defense and special teams tried to keep it a respectable game, but it's hard to do with a Pop Warner offense that can't score on offense.

5-7 and 5-7 with a bottom 20 offense against the schedule we played these past two years added to the losses on D against the schedule this year will land you exactly at #95.

Talent wise we should be much higher.

But that should have been true the previous two years.

At least we are still ahead of Syracuse.

Can't click like, but I do agree.

Missed it ->
At quarterback, Chandler Whitmer will have a new offensive coordinator this season, but he threw 16 interceptions and just nine touchdowns last season.

For what it is worth, I like minimal expectations. It's minimal results that I am not a fan of.

Of all the things UConn can blame for not being very good right now, the Fiesta Bowl is a kind of strange one to point to.

For a lot of the country, including members of the media and the CFB opinion making class, it was their intro to UConn FB and we laid an egg. Sort of like vomiting during a job interview.

The ensuing 5-7 seasons made things worse.
