Tossing this one out there. . .anyone else see Manuel taking a shot at getting AO to stay? Manuel may be too old to relate to the player, but maybe someone who played for Bo Schembechler and knows what it's like to be coached by a taskmaster could try to talk some sense into Pop.
This is kind of situation where it might be a plus to have a former successful athlete as an AD.

There are a truck load of ex-UCONN players who I think would have had a better shot at talking AO in to staying than some guy he has never met.

Just throwing it out there---

Is it possible that JC agreed with AO that he should transfer? Since we don't know the details of the relationship, its possible that the staff thinks this is for the best as well.

Not likely, we're heard from a lot of players that JC puts those types of decisions in the players hands.

JC: 'Listen, ####, you're going to be so far down the bench that the PA announcer will need to call you from your seat in the 2nd deck if we need you.'

Don't coaches sometimes help players with finding the best place to transfer to if it's a mutual decision? If it's just the kid's decision, I'd say he's on his own. I would guess UMASS or Hofstra since AO's a northeast guy but neither of those are a lock for the NCAA tourney next year. Given the weak league Hofsta plays in, he could probably give them more of the boost they need to make it in comparison to UMASS although UMASS is having a decent season.
