Game of the early day, amiright?
ESPN feed on this one.

9-4 OSU

Pivec has 6 points all on drives from right to left across the lane. Miami does not have a good matchup for her at all.

Miami just doesn't look like a very good team at this point, outside the stellar play of Mompremier.

Oregon State struggling to shoot from deep which is keeping Miami in it.

They're playing Mompremier relatively well. Holding her to 13 points on 6-14 shooting with two freshmen is a win.

Disappointing performance for Miami, especially considering they have the home court advantage for a holiday tournament.

Oregon State took all the drama out of this one early. Totally in control from start to finish.

Pivec: 21 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists
Slocum: 20 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists (she also surpassed the career 1,000-point mark)

This will be OSU's only nonconference true road game. They will sail through the rest of November and December. The only non-cupcake in the mix is BYU, who has key players injured and is falling short of expectations.

Next significant challenge for OSU will be when they visit the Arizona schools Jan. 10-12.

Even though Kennedy Brown continues to struggle shooting the ball, she brings so much to OSU with her defense, rebounding, and ball handling. She is a cool cucumber. If Kennedy's shots start falling, that will be a huge bonus.

Brown is a better matchup against centers like Mompremier. Finally, Scott realizes that also. Kennedy Brown does really well against larger beefer centers than Jones does. I noticed in the Jordan Classic where Kennedy was playing a wing, they moved her back to defend Angel Jackson who had scored 6 straight points was killing everyone in the paint. Brown shut her down to end the first half. Jones has more range, but against big strong posts, Brown is better defensively.

Beavers defense was stellar today. Some here are calling out Miami as overrated, although 3 of 10 in the poll selected Miami. Maybe the OSU Team is underrated? I was so impressed today with the OSU guard core. They were the difference in the game today. They have been playing together for multiple years, and it showed today in their defensive communication, and how they know where their teammates are at all times on offense.

OSU is already highly ranked; it should be no surprise that they're a formidable team. Miami needed a miracle comeback just to beat North Carolina A&T. The fact that Oregon State struggled far more to put away Missouri State at home than it did to beat Miami in Miami says to me that the relative rankings of Missouri State and Miami are way off.

I don’t disagree. Missouri State is for real.

This is another reason they should not rank teams until they have played at least 5 games. Team not ranked face an uphill climb to work their way up, while ranked teams need to drop more than one to go down. I mean how long were Texas an ND still ranked even after their first loss. Missouri state should have entered the rankings during their run in the WNIT not just after the loss to Oregon St. Oregon St victories over ranked teams the last few weeks has not moved them up at all. Frankly, Stanfords struggles in some of their games also did not hurt them? They are sort of similar to South Car. in that they have a lot of freshmen and that will show itself to the inconsistency of production and make them liable for upsets. You should never rank teams highly based on their incoming freshmen who have never seen college-level competition.

I didn't get to watch this, but pleased with the result. Looks like the Oregon St. guards collectively tore Miami apart.
