Don't the top 16 teams host in the first two rounds?

I'm not certain an upset loss to Colorado would drop Beavers below 16 in the rankings.

Looks like Goodman picked a good time to get out of her shooting slump. Starters aren't doing much but she's 5-7 behind the arc coming off the bench (3rd game in a row she hasn't been a starter I think). 37-28 Beavs at halftime.

Wow, it's mostly Goodman but OSU's bench is outscoring their starters 23-14.

14-2 OSU in Q3. I think the Beavs are happy to not be playing a top 5 team finally.

OSU is 10-14 behind the arc. They've been way overdue to get hot from outside. Buffs are the unlucky team it happened against.

59-36 OSU nearing end of Q3. Beavs are 12-16 behind the arc. Even hotter than Utah was a couple weeks ago against the Buffs. Must be the thin air in Boulder.

The Buffs partisans seem to have gone awfully quiet lately...

Had nothing to say when Utah beat the stuffing out of them too. Gonna have a hard time claiming CU was better than OSU in this one. Looks like Sherrod has had minimal impact. Goodman finally playing like she's capable of--23 points on 7-9 3's.

Colorado player laughing and high-fiving teammates as they show the replay of her pulling Brown to the floor is not a good look.

Not sure why Rueck still has starters in? I guess the bench played a lot earlier? Still.

Goodman led them in scoring w/ 26 and Simmons had 8 on only 3 FGA. Maybe Rueck was doing CU a favor having the starters in.

I didn’t watch much, but why such little Tudor?

I didn't see it. I would guess he was going with hot hands? Moving Goodman to the bench is looking like a genius move. She was great doing that last year, had been struggling most of this season as a starter.

You should read the Stanford board. Fans there wanted Payne's head on a platter for how dirty she encourages her players to play.

Goodman was very hot and Simmons provided some quality minutes as well. Tudor was likely lost in the rotation as those two top reserves merited the playing time off the bench tonight. Rueck got 10 players in during the first half and all 11 dressed players played during the game. Jones took only 3 shots and Pivec took 5. Goodman's efficiency allowed the game to essentially be over early in the second half.

Hollingshed is a very intriguing player for Colorado. I like her game.
Hollingshed has both length and some shooting range. She was 6/18 from the field last night against the Beavs, but made three three-pointers to lead the Buffs with 15 points. She was set to be the hero against Stanford last week with a three-pointer to put Colorado in the lead with 1.6 seconds to play. Unfortunately, Colorado allowed a well-executed sidelines pass by Stanford to score and push that game to overtime.

I think that even @TheFarmFan was surprised to see Stanford pull out that unlikely finish a week ago Friday. That would have been a huge signature win for Payne that may have springboarded the Buffs to big things this season.

Not really that genius of a move. This was discussed on the Beaver site before it happened the last game. I stated that Goodman plays better with the ball in her hands and did better off the bench last season. Mik and Destiny pretty much dominate the ball when they are on the court together. I frankly was surprised he didn't make that move earlier.

As for Tudors playing time, It was not really because he was going with the hot hand. She was 1-2 from 3. Scott also gave Thropay more time than Tudor even before garbage time. It seems that he has been experimenting with line ups and players often just get lost in the shuffle. Especially if you are not a dominant ball-handler who is dependent on others to get you the ball when you are open. I think he pretty much chalked this game up to a win early on. Simmons also did well and played a lot. I think he might have seen this game as an opportunity to get minutes for players who usually do not play much, along with trying out new lineup options.

Agree with most of what is listed above. The dominant ballhandlers on the team this year are actually Slocum and Goodman. Pivec gets the ball on occasion on a side of the court via an entry pass from the point or via a rebound, but hasn't run the point much this season as Slocum and Goodman have been initiating the offense.

I think that Goodman is at her best when others can create shots for her. Slocum and Pivec both drive and create shots for their teammates. When Goodman can set her feet for her shot, good things tend to happen from beyond the arc. Moving Goodman off the point and freeing her for open shots may continue to yield better results going forward. Goodman has been 10/12 from beyond the arc the past two games off the bench after struggling for about 12 games with her shot.

Pivec is tied w/ Slocum for the team leader in assists, I'd say she's been initiating plenty of offense. Goodman is 14 behind those 2, so it's really evenly spread around.
