Oregon down to Long Beach at Half

Rueck missed her first shot of the second half ... they are tight. Shouldn't be, but we do forget how young they are.
 
Wiese just hit her first bucket of the game, a 3 to put OSU up by 6 late in 3Q.

OSU doesn't need a lot of points to win, but without scoring from Wiese their tournament will be a very short one.
 
Oregon St has a distinct advantage in the paint, but have not exploited it. I don't really follow them. Anybody know why they are not exploiting it?

They've tried to. LBSU is coming hard with the help and, in many cases, is knocking the ball loose before the OSU big can get a good shot off. In other cases the OSU bigs have simply missed easy shots.
 
Haven't seen much of this game. Gulic, Brown and Orum have all had good games this year but none are consistent. Can't give you a good answer on why they aren't exploiting the middle in this game.
 
Yup, that's some power conference...what's odd is the concern over OSU and scoring. I found their ability with the ball "highly offensive".:rolleyes:

I just don't think they have enough scoring to contend...
