So my son says "wow wouldn't it be great to fill up a stadium like this for UCONN?"

I say yes, but why do you think I had you apply to Michigan and OSU and Wisconsin?

You couldn't get this many UCONN fans to a major bowl game if it was played @ Gillette.

Hopefully for reasons other than football.

Eh, blow me. Those midwestern and southern schools with one school per 1000 square miles are playing with a stacked deck.
Alabama and Mississippi each support 2 of those schools.

All I know is there are more people in our suite here than were in Section 241 at the end of the Tulane game.

This game is unwatchable with the sound on due to that tomahawk chop crap every 30 seconds by the band.

If those are his other choices, UConn would be best for the money if he is in-state.

Watching Michigan, they run an offense probably close to what Edsall might run. The Don Brown defense is a little crazy but I would love it if Edsall can put some of those blitz packages into our next D.

Ummmmm......population density? UCONN = Northeast team of choice? How many schools are in TX FL CA.
Attendance, in this case has to do with the product on the field and the demographic. New England fans don't support losers. Has nothing to do with one school per 1000 miles...which state is that by the way?

He is going to UCONN assuming he gets in. Which is about 102% assured. But still have to have options.

I'd bet we'd get a good showing if we made it to the Orange Bowl after the 2017 season. :D

Of course there would be a major steroid scandal, but hey, it would be worth it. :)

That doesn't count you sellout!!!!
Yeah I blame the wife. She's sensitive! I don't think I'll like it if we are actually doing well and I wanna yell and scream. This year was easy because I sat in disgusted silence all year anyway. At least I was comfortable.

Brought my son to all uconn bowls and home games and he wanted to go to UCONN but had him apply to tOSU, Michigan,Purdue and Uconn and he was accepted to all four.He wanted to go to UCONN so we worked it out so he would get masters from UConn and go to whatever other school he wanted. He went to tOsu and we both got what we wanted

His primary allegiance will probably be to the Buckeyes (?). Most people identify closest with their undergrad school. That's how I am. My undergrad school was UConn and my grad school was SMU. I love both schools, but my primary allegiance is to UConn.

It sounds like it worked out well for your son.

For me it's the opposite...wife refuses to even entertain sitting inside..we used to get invited inside for 1 game each season...last game was the one in the snow vs USF. After that she had enough...never again.

He loves football and that love was formed from watching Uconn in our early years. We have that conversation all the time about osu vs uconn and of course osu wins but he always says you can not beat the view at the rent.
