They average 11.4 yards per attempt --not completion, per attempt. They are 74 for 101 for 1125 yards. Do the math.

The rushing numbers are not much better. Each carry averages over eight yards gained.

56, 62, 49.

I'm beginning to think something is wrong.

BTW, I love this headline.

Despite UConn Win, Randy Edsall Sees Need For Improvement, Especially On Defense

I'm happy Randy sees room for improvement.

You can not blame Edsall for the stupid headline.

Certainly is room for improvement when you are dead last in the FBS on defense.

I'm pretty sure that its been well established that the defense is a dumpster fire. Croker is not the answer, but how many threads need to be started to point that out? The only one who needs to accept this reality is Edsall.

So the concept of improvement somehow bypassed Storrs? Randy is returning to his Alma Mater. Look for him to hunker down with the D and for them to be improved against the Orange. Improvement may be subjective but as Justice Potter Stewart once said about when the court had trouble defining it, “I know it when I see it.” So will we.
